An affiliate is a partner, a newsletter, a streamer, a fellow creator, who promotes your work and earns a commission on the sales they drive. FoundryInk gives you the links, the tracking, and the ledger. Here is how to run a program.
In Studio, then Affiliates, choose New affiliate: set a commission rate (a percent of each sale, or a flat amount per conversion), pick a scope (your whole studio or a single series), and invite the partner by email to connect their account. They get a unique referral link, and sales are credited on a last-click basis for thirty days.
Each partner's dashboard tracks clicks, visitors, conversions, revenue referred, and commission owed, over 7, 30, and 90 days or all-time, and you can export the detail. Partners see their own link and earnings, but never a buyer's identity. A reader can even arrive through an affiliate link and use a coupon at the same time.
FoundryInk tracks what each affiliate is owed, and you pay them directly, then mark those conversions paid so the ledger stays clean. If you also run Coupons (in the Coupons tab), you can hand out percent-off or flat-off codes scoped to a studio, series, or issue, with optional limits and expiry, a natural pairing with an affiliate push.
No. FoundryInk tracks exactly what each partner is owed; you send the payment directly and mark those conversions paid. That keeps you in control of the relationship.
Your call per affiliate. Studio-wide credits them on any sale; single-series credits only that series, handy for a guest collaborator promoting one book.
New sales use the new rate; past conversions keep the rate that was locked in when they happened. Nothing is rewritten retroactively.
Yes. A buyer can arrive through an affiliate link and apply a coupon at checkout at the same time.
Links out, sales in, every partner tracked and paid. Next, crowdfund your series.
