A few minutes in your settings makes everything nicer. Your Preferences control how FoundryInk looks and reads, and Security keeps your account safe. Here are the settings worth changing.
In Preferences, set Dark mode (always, or automatic from dusk to dawn) with your timezone, choose a content age group and how mature covers are shown, and opt into account roles (Reader, Artist, Writer, Critic) that add a badge to your profile and unlock the matching tools.
Tune how you read and what reaches you: a default guided-reading style (Reveal or Cinematic), where you land when you open the app, whether to show cameos, and the sounds in visual novels. Then set your notifications: browser or OS push so alerts reach you outside the tab, and email digests at the cadence you like.
On the Security page, manage your password, active sessions, and extra sign-in protection. Delete protection lets you choose whether assets, projects, and studios delete immediately, archive (a recoverable soft delete), or both, so a slip of the finger never loses your work. Studios are always archive-only, never permanently deletable.
Reader, Artist, Writer, and Critic are opt-in badges on your profile that also unlock the matching tools, for example, the Critic role and review verdicts. Reader is on by default.
Yes. Reading and playback preferences include a Show cameos toggle, so you can stop characters dashing across the public site if you'd rather they didn't.
A per-feature safeguard: choose whether assets, projects, and studios delete immediately, archive as a recoverable soft delete, or both. Studios are always archive-only for safety.
On the Security page from the account menu, alongside your active sessions and extra sign-in protection.
Appearance, reading, notifications, and safety, all set the way you like. That's the whole Academy. Go make something wonderful.
